Account Suspension & Termination
Last updated: September 20, 2026
When BookBlurb may suspend or terminate accounts and how users may close accounts.
1. Grounds for suspension or termination
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, unlawful or infringing content, rate-limit bypassing, credential sharing, fraudulent chargebacks, scraping or attacks, unauthorised resale, or violations of applicable law.
- We aim to act proportionately. Warning and cure periods may apply to minor violations; fraud, abuse, and illegal content may result in immediate termination.
2. Non-payment
- If payment is not resolved within 7 days of the first failed charge, paid features may be suspended and unused paid credits may be revoked. We send at least one email notice before suspension.
3. Effect of termination
- Use rights end, subscriptions stop renewing, and generated outputs and history are retained for 30 days in soft-delete state before deletion unless law or a legal hold requires longer retention. Refundable amounts follow the Refund Policy.
4. Account deletion by user
- Delete from /settings or email privacy@bookblurb.org. A 30-day grace period allows restoration. After it, account data, generations, history, and saved content are permanently deleted, subject to anonymised logs, tax records, webhook audit records, and legal claims.
5. Contact
- Account questions: support@bookblurb.org. Data deletion: privacy@bookblurb.org. Refunds: transaction@bookblurb.org.
